2026 Conestoga Music  Department Recognition Banquet

Dear students, families, and CHS music department faculty,

As we get closer to the annual Music Department Recognition Banquet, we are excited to celebrate the hard work, dedication, and amazing musical achievements from this past year.

As the hosts of the evening, the TEMPO Board reviews the banquet schedule each year to ensure the event remains focused on its core mission: honoring our student community. This year, we are implementing a change that we feel is needed to stay true to the spirit of the evening.

Over the past several years, a student-led tradition of putting together speeches about the music directors has become a part of the evening. While we fully understand and acknowledge that this has been a tradition many students have enjoyed organizing and watching, the decision has been made to remove student speeches from the banquet program moving forward.

To ensure the evening reflects an environment that honors all of our students, the program will focus on student recognition, including the presentation of annual awards and scholarships.
